We study the interactions between insects and soil health to understand how sustainable management practices like cover crops, reducing tillage, and integrating animals into cropping systems can affect arthropod pests, their host plants, and their predators.

The Rowen Lab wants you!
We are hiring a full-time Junior Specialist I.
The job will include supporting research with dung beetles, soil mesofauna, and sustainable agriculture. Projects will be highly collaborative with students, staff scientists, and the PI. You will be responsible for maintaining chemical hygiene, lab safety, and work on supporting most of the projects in the lab. The position will involve field work, possibly overnight trips. t interaction experiments
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree completed by January 2026, must be able to work in person in Riverside CA.
